Photo whoring

Loads of photos.

Was at Dbl O with Clara, Ivan and June.

Super fun. Got so high. Loads of jugs to drinks. Me and June behaved very wild.

Effects of alcohol to blame. Wahahaha.

Was tired after 18km run in the morning. Shagged so didn't go for drinks.

Now at home being a good boy. Blogging. And saving $$$. First time I'm home so early.

Did loads of photo whoring.

ORD Celebration

As the time ticks down, my ticker for national obligations is about to reach the climax point of ending.

Yeah.

It's my lull period now kicking back my sneakers to relax.

Was down at Suntec today with my battery.

Boss treat.

Ku-shin Bo.

My stomach lining was engorged terribly.

I came late so they laid out various plates of meaty and desserty goodies for my consumption.

Least to say I can't finish and we had to play the drinking finger games of "chai quan" - the 5, 10 , 15 game.

Had a whale of a time.

Feasting and playing.

Celebrated CSM's birthday and had to endure 3 slices of cake.

I'm fat now.

Officially.

To further cement what I said above.

I had 3 Ben & Jerry's ice-cream for the last 4 days.

My tummy should need a uZap now.

2 months break now before I can officially find a job.

Wee...Wee...

Being a Virgo

Virgo is the only zodiacal sign represented by a female.

It is sometimes thought of as a potentially creative girl, delicately lovely; sometimes as a somewhat older woman, intelligent but rather pedantic and spinsterish.

The latter impression is sometimes confirmed by the Virgoan preciseness, refinement, fastidious love of cleanliness, hygiene and good order, conventionality and aristocratic attitude of reserve.

They are usually observant, shrewd, critically inclined, judicious, patient, practical supporters of the status quo, and tend toward conservatism in all departments of life.

On the surface they are emotionally cold, and sometimes this goes deeper, for their habit of suppressing their natural kindness may in the end cause it to atrophy, with the result that they shrink from committing themselves to friendship, make few relationships, and those they do make they are careful to keep superficial.

But the outward lack of feeling may, in some individuals born under this sign, conceal too much emotion, to which they are afraid of giving way because they do not trust others, nor do they have confidence in themselves and their judgments.

This is because they are conscious of certain shortcomings in themselves of worldliness, of practicality, of sophistication and of outgoingness.

So they bring the art of self concealment to a high pitch, hiding their apprehensiveness about themselves and their often considerable sympathy with other people under a mantle of matter-of-factness and undemonstrative, quiet reserve.

They are still waters that run deep. Yet in their unassuming, outwardly cheerful and agreeable fashion, they can be sensible, discreet, well spoken, wise and witty, with a good understanding of other people's problems which they can tackle with a practicality not always evident in their own personal relationships.

Both sexes have considerable charm and dignity, which make some male Virgoans appear effeminate when they are not.

In marriage they can be genuinely affectionate, making good spouses and parents, but their love making is a perfection of technique rather than the expression of desire, and they must be careful not to mate with a partner whose sex drive requires a passion they cannot match.

They are intellectually enquiring, methodical and logical, studious and teachable. They combine mental ingenuity with the ability to produce a clear analysis of the most complicated problems. T

hey have an excellent eye for detail but they may be so meticulous that they neglect larger issues. Also, although they are realists, they may slow down projects by being too exact.

They are practical with their hands, good technicians and have genuine inventive talents, Thoroughness, hard work and conscientiousness are their hallmarks, and they are such perfectionists that, if things go wrong, they are easily discouraged. Because of their ability to see every angle of a many-sided question, they are unhappy with abstract theorizing.

Appreciating the many different points of view as they do, they find philosophical concepts difficult, and they vacillate and have no confidence in any conclusions at which they arrive.

With these qualities, they are better as subordinates than leaders. Responsibility irks them and they often lack the breadth of strategic vision that a leader needs Virgoans are essentially tacticians, admirable in the attainment of limited objectives.

Their self distrust is something they project on to other people and tends to make them exacting employers, though in the demands they make on those under them they temper this attitude with justice.

They have potential abilities in the arts, sciences and languages. Language especially they use correctly, clearly, consciously and formally, as grammarians and etymologists rather than for literary interests, yet they are likely to have a good memory for apt quotations. Although they are well suited for careers in machine drawing, surveying and similar occupations, they are better fitted for a job in a library or office than a workshop.

Their minds are such that they need the stimulus of practical problems to be solved rather than the mere routine or working to set specifications that need no thought. They are careful with money and their interest in statistics makes them excellent bookkeepers and accountants. They also make good editors, physicists and analytical chemists.

They may also find success as welfare workers, ministering to those less fortunate than themselves. They can be doctors, nurses, psychologists, teachers, confidential secretaries, technologists, inspectors, musicians, critics, public speakers and writers especially of reference works such as dictionaries and encyclopedias.

Both sexes have a deep interest in history, a feature recognized by astrological authorities for at least two hundred years. If they go in for a business career their shrewdness and analytical ingenuity could tempt them into dishonesty, though they usually have enough moral sense to resist temptation.

Female Virgoans may find a career in fashion, for they have a flair for dress, in which they can be trend setters. In any profession they choose the natives of this sign readily assimilate new ideas, but always with caution, conserving what they consider worth keeping from the past. They love country life but are unlikely to make good farmers, unless they can contrive to carry out their work without outraging their sense of hygiene and cleanliness.

Their faults, as is usual with all zodiacal types, are the extremes of their virtues. Fastidious reticence and modesty become old-maidishness and persnicketiness; balanced criticism becomes carping and nagging; and concern for detail becomes overspecialization. Virgoans are liable to indecision in wider issues and this can become chronic, turning molehills of minor difficulties into Himalayas of crisis. Their prudence can become guile and their carefulness, turned in on themselves, can produce worriers and hypochondriacs.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So true to the above.
But I don't see why Virgoes can't make good leaders with the above traits.
It's all about harnessing.
Hmmmmm...........
Astrology is getting to me now.
Damn lazy to blog lately. Just found this intriguing to blog about.
Hmmmm.
CO's chalet
Nothing much going on with my life.
Just the usual. But it's so exciting.
Can't wait to O - R - D.
I think it's one of the climax of Singaporean boys.
Clearing offs and leaves now here and there, so a WAVE out there to friends.
Time to CATCH UP.
Anyway, I'm now munching on instant noodles while stuck in camp on a sucky Saturday.
Yeap. I'm doing duty so I have like all the time in the world to blog.
Nothing much to inspect or do on a weekend.
Recently, it was my CO's chalet and took lots of photos.
It might be the last time to see my batch, each fleeting off in their own direction.
Gonna miss my buds.
Father's Day
Did the typical eat lunch with Dad again.
This time, I did it with my auntie's family and my grandfather.
My grandfather is a bit peculair and particular and very traditional.
So when I was taking him on a sole journey to the restaurant, he was making comments about he don't see people his age around.
Not surprising. He's 85 +++ but still fit and active.
Very impressed at his will to learn new things.
He's an avid photographer.
Anyway, had buffet. Love the unagi and the dory fillet.
Ate to my hearts content. Chatted with my cousin, Shirleen and her boyfriend.
Mark and Pauline. As usual. The goofballs.
The day however was defined by shopping.
Bored on the journey there
Close Up of the 84 ratties
What really defined my day?
Well, as Takashimaya was closing soon, me and my sister-in-law went to shop.
Walked into the Gucci boutique for the very first time.
The whiff of luxury and the upper crust.
Saw something I like and Pauline bought it for me.
My first ever branded item lor.
So suaku.
I think it's nice. Costly.
And I like the allure of having something that hardly anyone owns.
Even though the cost of a canvas bag is worth the price of an abortion + hospitalization fees lolz.
My very first Gucci product
Brown & Orange strap - My favourite colours!
It's nice la. Although it's costly. But I'm just happy.
Thanks Pauline.
And Happy Father's Day Dad, although you will never ever get to read this.
Love your son,
Benjamin
Quests in life
Every adult life could be said to be defined by two great love stories.
The first - the story of our quest for sexual love - is well known and well charted.
Its vagaries form the staple of music and literature, it is socially accepted and celebrated.
The second - the story of our quest for love from the world - is a more secret and shameful tale.
If mentioned, it tends to be in caustic, mocking terms, as something of interest chiefly to envious or deficient souls, or else the drive for status is interpreted in an economic sense alone.
And yet this second love story is no less intense than the first, it is no less complicated, important or universal, and its setbacks are no less painful.
There is heartbreak here too, suggested by the distant, resigned eyes of many whom the world has elected to dismiss as nobodies.
In the world out there, everyone strives.
To be Someone. Somebody. Or Something.
An idol. A figure. A hero.
A father who sets an example. A counseller that shows guidance. A teacher that inculcates.
In life.
We journey through these 2 quests.
Like a personal RPG (Role-playing game).
Trying to learn, grow and believe that we are someone. Or we can be that special someone.
Our 2 quests will carry on the day till we give up, till we give up hope.
Till we finally acknowledge we have completed both our quests.
We know life, has finally found the meaning.
And the answer that we have been eternally searching for.
For some, it will be satisfying and fruitful.
For some, it will be a neverending journey as their desire and demand is insatiable.
For those out there who are able to read this.
I bestow my blessing to you.
May you accomplish your quests in life.
Fooling Around
Been really boring and sianz around in the battalion.
Staying in to do work.
Lame work mind I add.
Really senseless.
Just can't wait to get out of this mundane lifestyle to more exciting prospects in life =)
Life is a bore as usual.
Bumped into Eric yesterday, looking like his usual days.
World Cup fever is on, too bad I'm not all that crazy over soccer that I used to be.
I'm just going to randomly sprout out stuff.
It's a lazy Sunday.
Happy Birthday Grandpa
This peach takes the cake for being typically cheena
My cozzie, Shirleen who's all so Auntie now and she's my age!
BC = Battalion Cat
We are not abusing this cat mind you. We just wrapped him up comfortably with this ball of cloth yarn and he/she likes it.
Till today, I can't be bothered to differentiate the gender of cats.
Clowning around with Alex
This picture is a testimony of how stressed up we are with the audit.
Our faces tell it all.
Can't wait for all this torture to be over and then officially.
Lull. I hope.
Unless big boss out there goes on a rampage and "induces" new plans.
Then I can safely said I WORKED MY ARSE OFF MY ENTIRE NSF LIFE.
So envy the rest of the world.
I need a break.
Blah.
ORD. So near and yet so far.
Come come faster.
Night shot of Esplanade with my cameraphone
I went shopping!
Retail therapy is all goodness.
Shopping and roaming around, sales item ain't all that good.
In the end, purchase a top which I've been eyeing on for a VERY LONG time.
In a different colour, no less and a size bigger.
I still love my purchase.
I still have a long shopping list but I'm going to hold tight my purse strings.
Time to save up for a well-deserved holiday.
I'm heading to Malaysia next month.
Weeeeeeeeeee........................
