CO's chalet

Nothing much going on with my life.

Just the usual. But it's so exciting.

Can't wait to O - R - D.

I think it's one of the climax of Singaporean boys.

Clearing offs and leaves now here and there, so a WAVE out there to friends.

Time to CATCH UP.

Anyway, I'm now munching on instant noodles while stuck in camp on a sucky Saturday.

Yeap. I'm doing duty so I have like all the time in the world to blog.

Nothing much to inspect or do on a weekend.

Recently, it was my CO's chalet and took lots of photos.

It might be the last time to see my batch, each fleeting off in their own direction.

Gonna miss my buds.

Went to watch the 'Live' match of Argentina vs Germany.

Father's Day

Did the typical eat lunch with Dad again.

This time, I did it with my auntie's family and my grandfather.

My grandfather is a bit peculair and particular and very traditional.

So when I was taking him on a sole journey to the restaurant, he was making comments about he don't see people his age around.

Not surprising. He's 85 +++ but still fit and active.

Very impressed at his will to learn new things.

He's an avid photographer.

Anyway, had buffet. Love the unagi and the dory fillet.

Ate to my hearts content. Chatted with my cousin, Shirleen and her boyfriend.

Mark and Pauline. As usual. The goofballs.
The day however was defined by shopping.

Bored on the journey there

Lovely Mom & Dad

Mum & Grandpa

Sistas

Me n my bro

Me n Shirleen

Close Up of the 84 ratties

What really defined my day?

Well, as Takashimaya was closing soon, me and my sister-in-law went to shop.

Walked into the Gucci boutique for the very first time.

The whiff of luxury and the upper crust.

Saw something I like and Pauline bought it for me.

My first ever branded item lor.

So suaku.

I think it's nice. Costly.

And I like the allure of having something that hardly anyone owns.

Even though the cost of a canvas bag is worth the price of an abortion + hospitalization fees lolz.

My very first Gucci product

Brown & Orange strap - My favourite colours!

It's nice la. Although it's costly. But I'm just happy.

Thanks Pauline.

And Happy Father's Day Dad, although you will never ever get to read this.

Love your son,
Benjamin

Quests in life

Every adult life could be said to be defined by two great love stories.

The first - the story of our quest for sexual love - is well known and well charted.

Its vagaries form the staple of music and literature, it is socially accepted and celebrated.

The second - the story of our quest for love from the world - is a more secret and shameful tale.

If mentioned, it tends to be in caustic, mocking terms, as something of interest chiefly to envious or deficient souls, or else the drive for status is interpreted in an economic sense alone.

And yet this second love story is no less intense than the first, it is no less complicated, important or universal, and its setbacks are no less painful.

There is heartbreak here too, suggested by the distant, resigned eyes of many whom the world has elected to dismiss as nobodies.

In the world out there, everyone strives.

To be Someone. Somebody. Or Something.

An idol. A figure. A hero.

A father who sets an example. A counseller that shows guidance. A teacher that inculcates.

In life.

We journey through these 2 quests.

Like a personal RPG (Role-playing game).

Trying to learn, grow and believe that we are someone. Or we can be that special someone.

Our 2 quests will carry on the day till we give up, till we give up hope.

Till we finally acknowledge we have completed both our quests.

We know life, has finally found the meaning.

And the answer that we have been eternally searching for.

For some, it will be satisfying and fruitful.

For some, it will be a neverending journey as their desire and demand is insatiable.

For those out there who are able to read this.

I bestow my blessing to you.

May you accomplish your quests in life.

Fooling Around

Been really boring and sianz around in the battalion.

Staying in to do work.

Lame work mind I add.

Really senseless.

Just can't wait to get out of this mundane lifestyle to more exciting prospects in life =)

Life is a bore as usual.

Bumped into Eric yesterday, looking like his usual days.

World Cup fever is on, too bad I'm not all that crazy over soccer that I used to be.

I'm just going to randomly sprout out stuff.

It's a lazy Sunday.

Happy Birthday Grandpa

This peach takes the cake for being typically cheena

My cozzie, Shirleen who's all so Auntie now and she's my age!

BC = Battalion Cat

We are not abusing this cat mind you. We just wrapped him up comfortably with this ball of cloth yarn and he/she likes it.

Till today, I can't be bothered to differentiate the gender of cats.

Clowning around with Alex

This picture is a testimony of how stressed up we are with the audit.

Our faces tell it all.

Can't wait for all this torture to be over and then officially.

Lull. I hope.

Unless big boss out there goes on a rampage and "induces" new plans.

Then I can safely said I WORKED MY ARSE OFF MY ENTIRE NSF LIFE.

So envy the rest of the world.

I need a break.

Blah.

ORD. So near and yet so far.

Come come faster.

Night shot of Esplanade with my cameraphone

I went shopping!

Retail therapy is all goodness.

Shopping and roaming around, sales item ain't all that good.

In the end, purchase a top which I've been eyeing on for a VERY LONG time.

In a different colour, no less and a size bigger.

I still love my purchase.

I still have a long shopping list but I'm going to hold tight my purse strings.

Time to save up for a well-deserved holiday.

I'm heading to Malaysia next month.

Weeeeeeeeeee........................

Comfort Frens

It's nice to know that there is always a set of friends behind you always.

To feast when you are miserable.

To destress when you are piled up in work.

To be senseless when your head is fuzzed up.

Been busy with the audit.

Which is DROWNING me. Now I know why auditors are being murdered in huge quantities.

A N Y W A Y.

Been spending loads already prior to the Great Singapore Sale.

Met up with dear Gwenne after work.

Head down to the esteemed Menotti.

Quaint and pretty squeezy if you asked me. Pricy too.

And I rate it thumbs down for the main courses although the dessert is oyishi!

Licking the Choc

Gwenne doing a double take

Catched up loads with her. Miss her so much when she was resting at home and I couldn't find time to visit her = (

Went to Paragon to try the new menu of Coffee Club.

A bit of a revamp. Not really to my liking.

Ad for probably the best hangout place for dessert with pals

Half-Gobbled Tiramisu

I had the sinful eclair instead.

Super creamy and another half inch to my waist line. Wahahaha.

Occupying my time is also MAHJONG.

Probably the best game in the world.

Some random pics.

I want to "HUAT" ah

The AUTO mahjong table that I'm so used to now

My friends says I'm a mahjong addict.

I beg to differ.

I'm a tile enthusiast with a passion for playing with them. :P

Oh. And my next favourite game is Boogle.

So mind challenging. And mind boggling. Wahahaha.

Been heading down to Settlers and Minds alot.

I should be given a GOLD membership card lor.

Oh and lastly, before I forget.

A belated happy birthday to Shawn. Sorry I took so long to post pics up.

Been lazy and slacking and work is suffocating me.

Indochine was fantastic although too ATAS for me. Only Nic could savour the wine.

The other 6 of us just sipped it like plain water lolz.

Yes, we both look horrendous in this pic

Well.

Life as it is.

Is rolling by.

Not gonna ponder too much. Not gonna react too much.

Just counting down and build on my future.

I'm passively quiet of the days ahead.

Nothing Much

Life's is really mundane.

Nothing interesting to update.

The past 3 weeks have been at work or clearing my Advanced Close Combat Training lessons or hanging around with my friends.

Been playing some LAN gaming and mahjong.

Just counting down the days of ORD.

Where my future lies forth will remain in Pandora's box.

Won't reveal it till I'm ready.

Celebrated Mother's Day with my family at Swissotel.

Spending more family time each day as I grow older.

Everyone is looking for an interesting spark in their life.

Sometimes, I just feel that life is meant to be simple for some of us.

No booze. No partying. No gals.

And that simple life could just be me.

Regrets

Regrets.

I'm sure many of us have them.

But we just don't wish to say it out.

Just proclaiming that I lead a life of no regrets.

But in fact.

Many of us are in our circumstances because we fail to do something or fail someone or fail to live up to certain expectations.

Regrets come in all forms.

The immediate remorse.

Or the post-morterm thought.

Or the lingering aftermath of it bugging you.

Or the memory of it all stinging you.

Of all the regrets.

The pain that will resurface.

And it slowly squeezes you like a pimple.

I would be lying.

If I said I had no regrets.

I have 2 regrets.

I know there are many more but these 2 are what have defined my life.

And I really regretted it.

It really makes me down and out when I think about it.

I just don't wish to make the same mistakes no more.

For a life less regretful.

Indulgence

Feeling fat today.

My tummy is bulging.

It's not a good thing.

Time to hit the treadmill and pump some weights.

At sinful Suntec today.

Wolf down 2 free scoops of Ben n Jerrys.

Followed by $1 buns from BreadTalk

And a $4.90 value meal from Burger King

A cup of lime juice courtesy of Jacque

A KFC meal that consists of a mini fish burger and a chicken thigh

Wrapping up the day was sharing a Gelare large waffle with Cookies n Cream.

Sinful. Yes.

Getting Fatter. Definitely.

Heading to the Gym. Ah huh.

Prorastination has ended for me now ATEC is done.

Time to get my body into a lean mean fighting machine.

Hope to get IPPT Gold. That's my aim.

I have pics but too damn lazy.

Loads of pictures to load. I shall just chill and relax at home.

Sleepy me.

***punches fist in the air for the feeling of accomplishment***

Before I left for ATEC, celebrated so many birthdays.
